“It takes me a while to make records because I like to live the songs first,” says gospel singer Kurt Carr on his latest album, Bless This House, which comes four years after his last release. Another reason for the celebrated musician’s four-year hiatus was his “old-school” ways. “I don’t like to make singles, I like to make records,” he says. ‘It takes time to make quality records.”
January kicks off what looks like an incredible year for the celebrated musician. He is celebrating his 25th anniversary in the industry, and was recently honored with the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award at the 28th Annual Stellar Awards.
