Danielle Brooks turns to Twitter to address ignorant comments made by airline agent.
Perhaps the flight agent doesn’t have a Netflix account or doesn’t frequent Broadway shows, and didn’t recognize Danielle Brooks, who plays Taystee on the hit original Netflix original series Orange is the New Black. Whatever her defect, Brooks’ fans aren’t excusing her from throwing shady microaggressions at the OITNB actress.
Brooks tweeted Thursday, “I hate when gate agents look at me like I’ve never flown first class and say ‘You’re in first class? Lucky you!’ Really tho”
The since deleted tweet caught the attention of fans who had a few rebuttals for the agent.
“Next time just reply, ‘They pay me enough per episode,’” responded @ILuvMYAfro.

“Tell them it’s their lucky day too cause first month of Netflix is free so they can join,” tweeted @haughtdayum.
Brooks was most likely travelling to or back from her guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The thread was reported by NY Daily News, which screenshot Brooks’ original tweet.
