Cuba Gooding Jr.’s lawyer is vigorously defending him after it was alleged that the Oscar winner groped a woman’s breast earlier this week at a New York City bar.

Despite initial reports that claimed the actor would turn himself into the New York Police Department’s Special Victims Division, TMZ reports Wednesday that Gooding’s lawyer, Mark Heller, said that surveillance video from Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge exonerates the actor.

Heller added in a statement that the video proves there was “absolutely no criminality taking place on the part of my client.”

Gooding also denied he groped anyone and defended himself against allegations in a recent video when TMZ caught up with him at the airport.

“I trust the system,” he told a videographer. “There’s a tape that shows what really happened. That’s the most important thing.”
