That’s where ESSENCE honored gospel greats CeCe Winans and Marvin Sapp during an All-Star Gospel Tribute at the ESSENCE Empowerment Stage. The day was full of spirited performances from some of gospel music’s most celebrated stars.
Kelly Price and Shirley Murdock sang a soul-stirring set, while Kierra Sheard and Vanessa Bell Armstrong got the crowds on their feet as the tribute kicked into high gear. Fred Hammond, Deitrick Haddon and Trin-i-tee 5:7 were also in the house.
