Carey has racked up a whopping 18 number one Billboard singles, the most for any solo artist in history (and second only to The Beatles.) Her hits have spent a total of 79 total weeks at number one. Hits like “Fantasy” “One Sweet Day” and “Honey” helped to make that happen. making her the artist with the most number-one debuts in the chart’s 52-year history.[

When Carey released Merry Christmas in 1994 it became an instant classic. It has sold over 15 million copies worldwide and is the best selling Christmas album of all time.

Carey’s 1994 single “All I Want For Christmas Is You” has become a modern Christmas classic.  In 2012 it became the bestselling holiday ringtone of all time and the first holiday ringtone to be certified double-platinum in the U.S. The digital track has been downloaded over 2-million times.
