This year’s American Music Awards was one of short dresses, creative makeup, and serious headpieces. And apparently Regina King, Billy Porter, and Tyra Banks got the memo for the latter because they came through with some head-turning headgear.
While Banks chose to keep it classic with a cool embroidered fedora to match her laid back menswear suit, ESSENCE December cover star King went for a flapper-style beaded headpiece to go with her old Hollywood glam gown. Porter, who is known for his fashion and beauty risks, chose to wow with an over the top structural white headdress from Stephen Jones Millenery. That creation must have been held up through the entire event by the grace of God (and several hair pins, we speculate).
