Fashion and beauty icon Naomi Campbell closes out 2018 with a major win: becoming the new face of NARS Cosmetics.

This latest feat makes for a landmark one, as this is the first time the international supermodel has been the star of a beauty campaign. That may come as a shock, seeing how iconic and legendary Naomi is both on and off of the catwalk.

Even still, this marks the first time in her career (that spans nearly 30 years) in which she is the face.

Of the partnership, NARS Cosmetics founder and photographer, Francois Nars,  said: “Naomi is a living icon and brings such strong personality to the camera. She and I are like family. I have known her since the very beginning of her career. From the start, I have admired her, her beauty, and her style.”

On Instagram, Naomi posted a picture of one of the first images from the campaign: a stunning super-close up image. With glowing skin, bright eyes, and full lips, the image is a win for both Naomi and women of color who continue to strive to break barriers and shatter ceilings.

This partnership with Naomi comes on the brink of NARS latest collection, the Radiance Repowered. Slated to drop in January of 2019, the collection will feature  extended foundation shades, the Super Radiant Booster, and a new eyeshadow palette.

Naomi will also be getting her own Orgasm campaign, representing NARS most iconic product.
