Beauty brand e.l.f. Cosmetics got in on the TikTok fame game with their #eyeslipsface challenge. In collaboration with iLL Wayno & Holla FyeSixWun, they launched the track “Eyes.Lips.Face.” through Republic Records and sparked a beauty video phenomenon that swept the platform for weeks. The challenge was also launched with a contest to win $250 from the brand.
With 4 billion views, it’s the biggest campaign in TikTok history to date. Not only did TikTok users get excited about the song and the challenge, but even some of the platform’s favorite celebrity users.
“From the beginning we set out on a mission to unleash the brand’s innate renegade spirit,” said Kory Marchisotto, e.l.f.’s Chief Marketing Officer. “A ground-breaking TikTok campaign, a viral chart topping song, and now the release of a music video in partnership with Republic Records is an illustration of our ability to break the rules of beauty.”
And it’s no wonder, the catchy tune will be stuck in your head for days. With 2.8 million plays and more than 50K likes of the song on YouTube, the people have spoken and it’s a hit. Regardless of what kind of music you typically like to listen to, it’s definitely a hype song that you can get ready to. According to BusinessWire the song hit #4 on Spotify’s Global Viral chart, so we can expect it to be on several ball dropping party playlists.
