Celeb Insta-Beauty: Steal Their Style

Here's the scoop on how to re-create these super cute It Girl looks we spotted on Instagram.

By · July 10, 2014October 27, 2020
01
Tracee’s Orange Crush

Generally matchy matchy is not the way to go. But with a sunny of-the-moment orange, we’re digging it. The key with such a bright shade is to make sure the rest of your makeup is polished yet simple, and going sleek and chic like Tracee with the hair won’t hurt.

02
Tichina’s Sunny Mani

Bright citrus polishes tend to make you look tan, even if the closest you’ve come to the sun is feeling it through your office window. To steal Tichina Arnold’s style, use a yellow that is more bright than pastel. We like Sally Hansen Triple Shine in Lemon Shark, $5, drugstores.

03
Santigold’s Purple Pout

To replicate this look, we love MAC Lipstick in Violetta, $16.

04
Hannah’s Hot Lips

Creamy matte red is a classic gorgeous look. Steal Hannah Bronfman’s style by layering your favorite matte bright red over a good  moisturizer. Before you apply the color line your lips and fill them in about half way with pencil.

05
Nicole’s Flawless Skin

The blue hair is making a statement, yes. But we’re also interested in how airbrushed-perfect Nicole’s skin looks. For light, flawless coverage in summer try BareMinerals BareSkin Pure Brightening Foundation, $29. The base is coconut-derived, so there’s no silicone—you’ll love how you look after buffing on just two drops of this liquid. Trust us.

06
Lupita’s Dark Denim Mani

As the latest spokemodel for Lancome, we’re sure Lupita will be rocking many a Lancome lacquer in the future. We reallly love this midnight navy look—an interesting color choice for summer. Lupita’s color looks like the brand’s new Summer 2014 shade Marine Chic, $15.

07
Jasmine’s Wine-Stained Pout

A deep wine lip is so sexy for night, as shown here on model Jasmine Tookes. It looks even better paired with a clean white or pastel ensemble.  Try Ilia Lip Gloss in Gypsy, $24.

08
Crystal’s Doe Eyes

We adore up-and-coming model Crystal Noreiga‘s ingenue look. Steal her style with mega lashes. You can add C-curled falsies or use a volumizing mascara like Dior Show Black Out, $25, focussing on the outer lashes.

09
Jourdan’s Nude Lip

Lucky us Jourdan posted the exact cinnamon shade she used in this Instavideo. It’s Maybelline ColorSensational Lipcolor in Maple Kiss, $7, drugstores.

10
Beyonce’s Mommy and Me Mani

Even if you don’t have your own Mini Me, definitely try a classic red mani this summer. It’s always super sexy. We love Essie Really Red, $8, ulta.com.

11
Gabrielle’s Perfect Brows

We see a lot of brows out there that are too structured, too severe—just not quite right. But here, Ms. Union’s are perfect. To steal her look, use a powder brow filler like Bobbi Brown’s Dark Brow Kit, $47. Using a light coverage of powder start filling in your brow at the arch and move to the tail. Use the powder very sparingly at the inner part of the brow—this is the area that is often overly darkened and contoured.
