• Jamie Foxx earned four MTV Movie Award nominations, MTV announced today. The Oscar-winning actor is up Best Male Performance, Best Fight, Best Kiss with Kerry Washington and Best WTF Moment with Samuel L. Jackson for his work in Django Unchained. The controversial film also landed a Movie of the Year nomination. Black Women in Hollywood honoree Quvenzhané Wallis also received one nomination in the Breakthrough Performance category for her role in Beasts of the Southern Wild. The awards will be held live on April 14 in Culver City, California. [MTV]
• NeNe Leakes went into distress yesterday when she locked her dog and keys inside her car in Beverly Hills. She caught the attention of a passing police officer who helped open the car. Thankfully, Leakes’ Yorkshire Terrier named Playa was unharmed in the incident. [TMZ]
• It’s official, Halle Berry will reprise her role as Storm in the upcoming action film, X-Men: Days of Future. There was concern that things wouldn’t come together for the actress, however X-Men fans can rest calmly given today’s news. The superhero film will also welcome most of the original cast. [Deadline]
• The Kennedy Center has announced several events for its upcoming 2013-2014 season and among them is “One Mic: Hip-Hop Culture Worldwide.” The week-long festival will feature Nas as he performs his album Illmatic with musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra.
