For the second year in a row, TV viewers will get a look inside the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood event, courtesy of Oprah Winfrey.
OWN will air a primetime special at 10 p.m. with a look inside the 9th annual pre-Oscar event celebration, featuring highlights from the big night and exclusive celebrity interviews.
Honorees for this year’s Black Women in Hollywood include Black-ish actress Tracee Ellis-Ross, who received the Fierce & Fearless award, director and choreographer Debbie Allen will be bestowed with the Legend award, and entertainment attorney Nina Shaw will take home the Lincoln Power Award.
Oprah Winfrey, Shonda Rhimes, Nick Cannon, Kelly Rowland, Angela Bassett and Zendaya are just a few of the names that filled the room for an inspiring celebration of Black women working in Hollywood.
