R&B newbie H.E.R continues to make a big splash after being announced as the lead nominee for this year’s Soul Train Awards.
The award show is set to place in Las Vegas next month, on Nov. 17, and it will be hosted by Hollywood besties Tisha Campbell-Martin and Tichina Arnold.
According to Billboard, the “Focus” singer is leading the pack with seven nominations, followed by Bruno Mars and Cardi B with six nominations each.
“7 nominations!!!!!!! But I haven’t even dropped the album yet,” the famously private singer said on Instagram. “Thank you so much!”
SZA follows close behind with five nominations, plus Ella Mai and Daniel Caesar earned four nominations respectively.
Former host Erykah Badu will also be recognized at the ceremony this year when she’s honored with the Legend Award. Faith Evans will also be recognized for her contribution to R&B music with the Lady of Soul Award.
The Soul Train Awards will air on BET and BET HER on Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. ET.
