In its eleventh year, the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) will be held this Saturday, March 18.
Backed by the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), the glamorous event honors rising stars and solidified icons within the local entertainment industry. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Thando Thabethe and Katlego Maboe.
Thando is an actress and radio personality who was recently on the international version of Lip Sync Battle. The vibrant 26-year-old also has quite the presence on social media, where she recently shared news of her hosting gig with her 735k followers on Instagram

Katlego is a SAFTA Award-winning performer and a co-host on South Africa’s increasingly popular Expresso Show. He’s also a HOPE Cape Town Goodwill Ambassador and was equally as excited to announce the news that’d he’d be co-hosting this year’s SAFTAs on his Instagram page.
