Amy's reps reveal the truth about her rumored adoption plans.
A rep for Amy Winehouse has denied claims that the late British singer was in the process of adopting before she died, reports TMZ.
The news surfaced over the weekend that Amy was preparing to adopt 10-year-old Dannika Augustine, a girl from St. Lucia, who Amy met while she lived at the Cotton Bay Village Resort on the island.
"It's not true" Amy's rep told TMZ. "I think [Amy] might have met [Dannika] in St. Lucia, but she was in no way about to adopt her."
The original reports of the adoption surfaced when Dannika's grandmother told The Sunday Mirror about Amy's alleged plans.
