ICYMI, Orange is the New Black’s Uzo Aduba is slaying on the cover of our September issue. Litchfield’s most lovable inmate sat down with us to talk all things life, love and what it means to be Black and beautiful. Check out these seven fun facts.  [SOUND] [MUSIC] Number 1, I'm a classically trained singer. I studied classical voice and got my Degree in Voice Performance From Boston University. Number two, I started running marathons about three and a half years ago. My first one being the New York City Marathon which was maybe one of the most thrilling and incredible experiences of my life. Number three, my parents are from Nigerian descent. My mom decided to name me. [UNKNOWN] which means the road is good. NUmber four I am a former ice skater and still to this day the only Nigerian I know who did that. Number five I have two Emmys, two SAG awards which sounds weird to say out loud. Number six I can cook. I can. And I love to cook. I genuinely enjoy the experience of cooking. Number seven. The cast of Orange Is The New Black. Specifically, the women in Ghetto Dorm, which is comprised of Danielle Brooks, AJ Moore, Samira Wiley, Vicky Jeudy, and myself. We will break out gospel music. Every single day we are working together. Not some days, every day [LAUGH], and we will also throw a 90s R&B mix in there in the rotation as well. [MUSIC]
