“But we still have some hurdles in this country to jump over. She is more than qualified for the job—female whatever—but she is more than qualified for the job.”
The Academy Award nominated actress endorsed the former Secretary of State on social media and has been particularly vocal about standing by Clinton as she runs for the Democratic nomination.
Bassett revealed that she supported Clinton in her 2008 campaigning but felt “energized and galvanized” by President Barack Obama..
The actress recently campaigned for Clinton in February, speaking to students at South Carolina State University.
