Want a piece of Easter history? Take a look at the official Souvenir Easter Egg of the White House unveiled today and available for the first time prior to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, which will be held on Monday, April 13. The theme this year will be “Let’s Go Play” and will incorporate messages on ways children can begin to live healthier lifestyles. This year’s eggs aren’t only green in color but they’re also green in message using 31 percent less paperboard than last year’s designs and renewable, vegetable oil-based inks. Each egg is handcrafted, painted and includes the signatures of President Obama and the First Lady. Visit the National Parks Foundation online to order your 2009 White House Easter Egg souvenir.—WLW
