The television network announced that Jill Scott and Lauren London have been added to the pilot of Snowfall, a new drama that chronicles the crack cocaine uptick in 1980s Los Angeles. Ferguson police teargassed protestors and arrested nine last night after police shot and killed an 18-year-old. According to authorities, the victim, Mansure Ball-Bey, pointed a gun at officers. Demonstrators gathered, but the police called their gathering an unlawful assembly. [NPR]
We must say that Madame Tussauds should have seen this coming from a mile away. Mere days after the wax museum unveiled a Nicki Minaj’s figure—situated on all fours imitating her “Anaconda” music video—a spokesperson for the museum announced that they would be redesigning the display.
