The television network announced that Jill Scott and Lauren London have been added to the pilot of Snowfall, a new drama that chronicles the crack cocaine uptick in 1980s Los Angeles. Ferguson police teargassed protestors and arrested nine last night after police shot and killed an 18-year-old. According to authorities, the victim, Mansure Ball-Bey, pointed a gun at officers. Demonstrators gathered, but the police called their gathering an unlawful assembly. [NPR]

Mere days after the wax museum unveiled a Nicki Minaj’s figure—situated on all fours imitating her “Anaconda” music video—a spokesperson for the museum announced that they would be redesigning the display. Columbus Short is in trouble again. The former Scandal star was arrested earlier this week while at his album release party in Los Angeles.
