Wendy Williams is about to embark on her new journey as a single woman, and her spirits are all the way up.

Last week, it was announced that the talk show host and her longtime husband/manager Kevin Hunter are headed for divorce. During her famous “Hot Topics” segment Monday, Williams opened up about her recovery in sober living, and plans for her future.

“I’m moving out of the sober house in just a few days, you know,” Williams shared. “It’ll be Wendy on her own.”

Williams also spoke optimistically about her future, telling the audience that she’s solely focused on reestablishing herself and the relationship with her 18-year-old son, Kevin, Jr.

“I have to tell you, you know, I’ve been dealing with issues with addiction, alcoholism, and I have a whole new life that I planned for myself and my son,” she said. “Believe me you, when you lay in a room with no TV and four gray walls all day…this is my life in the sober house, it’s one of the best things, honestly, that could have ever happened to me.”

Though she’s known for spilling the tea on other celebrities, Williams said she’s not afraid to air out her own grievances in order to show solidarity with folks going through their own tribulations.

“You wear a different mask when you’re out here. Everybody has things in their life that they’re–not ready to share with the world. Addressing my sobriety, my addiction, head-on has really helped me sort out every single compartment of my life,” Williams continued.

“I have a commitment to me and my son to come out of here better, stronger and faster than ever. And by the way, I will still commit; I commit that the motto of this show will always be, ‘Their business is our business.’”

Come on girl. You better live in your truth!
