Tamar Braxton and soon-to-be-ex-husband Vince Herbert have long since moved on from each other. But for Braxton, the divorce isn’t quite moving along fast enough.
The singer and recent Celebrity Big Brother winner recently asked a judge to change her marital status to single as soon as possible. What’s currently holding up the process and keeping the divorce from being finalized is the splitting of the couple’s financial assets. Documents obtained by TMZ say the Braxton Family Values believes “there is nothing the Court can do to salvage or repair the marriage”
Braxton has good reason for wanting to finalize the divorce – she has a new boo! The singer recently took her relationship with David Adefeso public, and the couple is now living together.
In speaking with People, the “Love & War” singer said that her tough-to-please family actually approves of her new relationship, but that he hasn’t quite adjusted to being in the spotlight. “The red carpet was a hard thing for me,” she said shortly after they first hit the red carpet together. “He came straight from work and I was like ‘Where is your red carpet look?’ He was like, ‘What are you talking about, this is what I’m wearing.’ But he’s definitely adjusting but he’s not like a television person.”
