February is popularly known as the month of love, and love is indeed in the air. At a recent India Arie concert, a couple got engaged, and the backstory is worth gushing over.
A lady named Brittany Jones was swept off her feet by her fiancé, Mike. The video she posted on her instagram page narrarted how the day went started with a car ride.
“I’ve been waiting a week and a half, probably like almost two weeks to go on this adventure,” Jones said, while riding in the car with her then-boyfriend. “I don’t know where I’m going, I don’t know what I’m doing. So y’all stay tuned to see what happens.”
The couple ended up at the India Arie concert in Atlanta, where Brittany would be surprised with a proposal.
Mike got down on one knee while the star sang her hit, “The Truth.”
After she said “I do” and accepted her ring, India decided to share how involved she really was in the proposal with Brittany and the audience.
“Let me tell you something, your fiancé DMd me for three months,” said the R&B soul singer. “He just wanted me to make a video and I was like, ‘Well, we have this show.’ Congratulations.”
In a follow-up post, Jessica thanked her man for making the proposal of her dreams happen.
“Not only was this entire trip a surprise, but my man, my best friend, my soul mate, and FIANCÉ got us front row tickets to see my IDOL, which was a dream come true,” Jones said. “A year ago we didn’t even know each other existed, fast forward to now we’ve grown to be everything each other needed and more. Michael Grice Jr. I truly am the luckiest girl in the world, I love you in more ways than I can express, and I CANT WAIT TO BE YOUR MRS.GRICE.”
The bride-to-be also thanked India for making the proposal possible.
