Father’s Day is next Sunday, June 17th, and while we can’t wait to celebrate the special men our lives, beauty brand SheaMoisture has gotten a headstart. Their new campaign titled #MyDadSmiles is shining a light on the special relationship Black fathers have with their children.
The social-centric campaign features nine different fathers who share their wisdom on love, life and of course fatherhood. The video series gives audiences a rare look into fatherhood from the perspective of Black men.
YouTuber Devale Ellis, known for his series The Ellises, is one of the men featured and shares a piece of wisdom during his video. “A smile from a dad is the universal sign that everything is ok. So I make sure to smile as often as possible because as long as my boys are smiling everything is perfect,” he shares.
