NYFW: come for the shows, stay for the street style. While Collina Strada delivered animal crossing cosplay, Rodarte witchy enhanced forest, and Dion Lee sleek model-off-duty looks (with a touch of snakeskin) — the action outside the shows was just as entertaining. Stars like Quinta Brunson, Ice Spice, and Kimora were spotted outside alongside a magnitude of Black girl magic. Teaming up with the Darrel, aka the Mode Hunter, we’re bringing you a street-style gallery, but make it Black, just like last season.
As always, the street style outside the shows is just as influential in determining what we’ll be wearing next season. This season, there was a running theme of elevated casual and comfort. Easy knit dresses and oversized sweaters, Issey Miyake pleated pieces, leather accents, and trench coats. Lots of Hanifa and pops of Gucci and Bottega — it was a great first day for street-style gazing.
