My Selfie Journey: Keshia White

After growing her hair for four year, Keshia White, founder of The Queen Life Blog, finally achieved her goals. To give herself a change from her normal natural hair maintenance, she began going to the salon regularly to get it straightened. After doing that for several weeks without any issues, it all changed when a stylist used very high heat, which resulted in a damaged curl pattern. These days she’s back to giving her hair the TLC is needs.

My hair is…. natural.

I started my hair journey… in March 2009 when I did my big chop. I was getting perms for about three years prior, which damaged my hair and caused it to break off.

The secret to having healthy hair is... patience and keeping hair moisturized.

My biggest hair challenge is… sticking with my hair care regimen because maintaining natural hair can be time consuming.
