Sigh. It's the end of an era. After eight years on the Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe Leakes is calling it quits. The reality star-turned-actress said that she was leaving the Bravo show in pursuit of more acting opportunities. And the plot thickens! WNBA star Glory Johnson announced on Instagram yesterday that she was pregnant with twins. Her announcement comes approximately two months after she and her then-girlfriend Brittney Griner were arrested on domestic abuse charges. The two reconciled and tied the knot last month, but just a few weeks go, Griner revealed that she was seeking an annulment. Lee Daniels is settling in nicely at 20th Century Fox! Yesterday, the Empire co-creator signed a multiyear deal to create, direct, write and supervise upcoming projects. "Lee Daniels has a gift for telling authentic, provocative stories that are both truthful and wildly entertaining," Fox TV Group CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman said in a statement. In a statement, Daniels said that he was excited to bring "alternative voices" to the network. We already like where this is going. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Kyemah McEntyre has caught Hollywood's attention! McEntyre, a recent high school grad, captivated Instagram last month when she posted a pic of her African-inspired prom dress, which she had designed. Power star Naturi Naughton took notice and asked the 18-year-old to design her dress for the BET Awards. "Naturi and her beautiful soul welcomed me, despite my experience with fashion designing," McEntyre told Vibe. "She wanted to shed light on young people from her community, and that she did." [Vibe]

Here we go again. The Supreme Court agreed to re-hear an affirmative action case against the University of Texas' admission policies. In 2012, Abigail Fisher, a White applicant, sued the university, claiming that she was denied admission because of her race. An appeals court ruled in favor of the college, but Fisher is now challenging that decision. The hearing hasn't begun yet. [USA TODAY]

Selma director Ava DuVernay has joined a long list of Bree Newsome supporters. Newsome is the civil rights activist who was arrested on Saturday for scaling a flagpole at the South Carolina state Capitol to take down the Confederate flag. "Yes. I hope I get the call to direct the motion picture about a Black superhero I admire. Her name is @BreeNewsome," DuVernay tweeted. Ava, please make this a reality! [Huffington Post]
