Yes, you read that right–Baby Phat is coming back tomorrow. In March, the internet rejoiced as Kimora Lee Simmons Leissner announced that she repurchased the brand and will be rolling out a new collaboration this summer.
The brand launched a countdown for the release on its Instagram page Monday, declaring, “3 days until your summer surprise,” with Baby Phat’s iconic bedazzled cat logo appearing. Forever 21 teased its involvement with the brand as well, in a tweet reading, “What’s the buzz about tho,” onTuesday, alongside an image of a pink pager with the signature “K.L.S.”
Although there’s been no official confirmation on the collab, it wouldn’t be the first time Simmons-Leissner or Forever 21 made a smart business move. With early 2000’s nostalgia making its way back into fashion, we’re curious as to what the new line will look like. Low rise jeans and crops tops perhaps? We are here for it.
