Lavender Love

“This was one of the first looks that I collaborated on with Octavia and made especially for her. Her stylists call it a ‘sleeper hit’ and I couldn’t agree more," says Tadashi. "We had no idea it would create such an impact on the red carpet! She looks exquisite and was excited to learn that we made it available to our customers in a variety of colors. We aptly name this gown ‘The Octavia’.”

Ladies Who Lunch

“The look Octavia wore to the ESSENCE Luncheon was inspired by her BAFTA look. She loved the animal print in a dress she previously tried on and wanted it as a pencil skirt to pair with a crisp white shirt.”

Spencer won the Breakthrough Performance award at ESSENCE’s 5th Annual Black Women in Hollywood luncheon.

Laced Up

“Octavia looked classy and beautiful in this black lace and nude cocktail dress to the AFI (American Film Institute) Awards. I like that she experimented with her hair and wore it down and wavy on this occasion.”

Glam Girl

“I love this old Hollywood look on Octavia. The neckline of the gown highlights her face and the grosgrain ribbon belt accentuates her waist,” describes Shoji on the gown Spencer wore to the Academy’s 3rd Annual Governors Award Dinner.

True Blue

“We couldn’t decide if Octavia should wear this gown to the SAG or NAACP Awards but ultimately decided on the latter. We took the bodice of one dress and the skirt of another to create this flattering silhouette. From her head to toes, she got it right!”
