We were first introduced to Dawn Richard when she was on Diddy’s Making the Band and became a member of girl group Danity Kane back in 2005. Richard eventually decided to pursue a solo career, and since 2011, the R&B singer has been carving her own lane in the music industry.
While Richard has been focusing on her music, she’s also been expressing herself through her fashion choices, and we can’t help but take notice. VOGUE.com has described Richard as an “androgynous style chameleon” and recently spoke with her about her style. “I’ve always dressed differently,” Richard said. “Always wearing [something] a little bit off-kilter, doing my own thing.”
Richard also expressed that her style can easily switch day-to-day from a “clean, tailored menswear outfit” to baggy pants. “I don’t really feel there’s rules in my everyday wear,” Richard told VOGUE.com. “I kind of do whatever the hell I want to do.”
