The actress who caught Tyler Perry’s attention with a massive billboard has been cast in Perry’s upcoming BET series Sistas.
Racquel Bailey, an actress who decided to shoot her shot with a billboard stunt, told TMZ that she auditioned and got cast two weeks ago in Perry’s new series.
Perry, who it turns out was already familiar with Bailey’s work, cast the actress as a police officer who had a past relationship with one of the lead characters. Bailey will reportedly appear in the season one finale and possible season two.
And, despite being slightly reprimanded for her method, Bailey says the billboard caught the attention of other industry execs after it went viral. The actress has a number of auditions lined up and has been in touch with several casting directors.
Perry’s Sistas is currently in development. The series will follow a group of single Black women with different backgrounds all coming together and bonding over their dating lives.
