Tinashe crafted a special space that “matches her freak” at Urban Outfitters and Pinterest’s immersive event last week.

Hosted on July 10 at The Chelsea Factory in NYC, Space Shift, the experiential collaboration, featured 10 multifunctional spaces and experiences dedicated to showcasing how Gen-Z can create their own personal sanctuaries in their home. A testament to the versatility and style that Urban Outfitters brings to modern living spaces, Space Shift tapped 10 creators to craft 10 different sanctuaries for consumers to shop and be inspired.

Each room was paired with an influencer that embodies the space’s styling and overall vibe, complete with a correlating UO-led Pinterest board personally curated by the influencers. Of course, the queen of vibes herself, Tinashe, was in the building in a space she helped design, and treated guests to a live performance from the comfort of her craft.

Taking over the space that gave fans a peek into her bold new sound, the songstress took the stage for an intimate performance of her hit song “Nasty,” featured on her highly anticipated album, Quantum Baby, which drops August 16th. She also treated the audience to a performance of her latest single, “Getting No Sleep.”

Quantum Baby will be the second installment in a trilogy album concept from Tinashe, following the release of BB/ANG3L last fall.

“Quantum Baby is about getting to know me on a deeper level. It’s about exploring who I am as a person and who I am as an artist,” the songstress said of her upcoming album in a statement. “I’ve never been one to be put into a box, so the name ‘Quantum Baby’ encompasses all the different parts that make up who I am as a creative.”
