Taking a break from our sniffles and tears as President Obama gave his farewell speech last night in Chicago, we all noticed there was one piece missing from the family: youngest daughter Sasha Obama. During the final speech of his tenure, Obama gave special mention to First Lady Michelle and noted how both daughters, Sasha and Malia, “wore the burden of years in the spotlight so easily.” Subscribe to our daily newsletter for the latest in hair, beauty, style and celebrity news. Following the farewell, White House officials told reporters that the President’s daughter stayed in Washington, D.C. for a school exam. On the bright side, she might have saved us an extra box of tissues, as watching Michelle and Malia tear up in the crowd was emotional enough.
