Gabby Sidibe is ready to add author to her resume.
The Empire star had previously announced she would be working on a memoir, and she tweeted out the new book cover Thursday for all to see.
Titled This Is Just My Face: Try Not to Stare, the book touches on her rise to fame and her journey toward self-acceptance. And dressed in an African print dress, and a pair of Converse sneakers on the book cover, it shows off Gabby’s humor and cheek perfectly.

“I’m writing a book about me; it’s what I was like before I was an actress, what my life is like now that I am now, and if it even matters,” she said in a recent interview. “I write about hair, I write about clothing, I write about marriage and divorce and relationships … I write about a lot of things I’ve experienced.”

Sidibe also gets to show off her recently slimmed-down figure on the book cover. The actress posted an Instagram photo back in September showing off her transformation, writing, “Is it too early in the morning for selfies with a Mayfair filter?”
