Gabourey Sidibe's Amazing Weight Loss Transformation

Although Gabourey Sidibe is well known and loved for unapologetically embracing her body, when she arrived at the Glamour Women Of The Year 2016 event in Los Angeles this week, she hit the red carpet showing off a very noticeable weight loss.

Sidibe spotted looking red-hot and as happy as ever in New York City in May 2016. Sidibe hasn’t publicly addressed her weight loss journey just yet, but she’s clearly committed to shedding some weight, so we’re with her.

On the day of the audition for Precious, Sidibe debated going to class at Mercy College in the Bronx, New York (where she was a psychology major) or going to the audition for the role she was “never going to get.” Her friend persuaded her to go to the audition and the rest is history.

Sidibe’s weight has never been a factor when it comes to her success. The Oscar-nominated actress has landed one major role after another since first stepping onto the big screen in the critically acclaimed film Precious in 2009.
