Fans and concertgoers were ready to jam with Prince this weekend when his benefit concert was canceled at the last minute. According to the NY Post, concert investors and organizers for the Gross-Michael Foundation could not raise enough money to bring Prince and his band to Dallas to perform…

“Our understanding is that they lost their investors and were not able to adequately fund and produce the event. Prince was looking forward to performing in support of the Goss-Michael Foundation,” said Kiran Sharma Prince’s manager.

Despite conflicting reports that the show would or would not go on, Prince’s rep confirmed to the NY Post that he never made it to Dallas at all, leaving Prince fans, some who had paid up to $1,500, saddened.
