Bright Shadow Done Right!
This summer is all about glowing skin with subtle pops of color. This reverse smoky eye only
Step 1: Mattify your lids
Oily lids don't look good on anyone. Prep your lids by dusting them a translucent powder like Clinique Forevermore Pressed Powder Compact ($75, at nordstrom.com)
Step 2: Line your eyes
Starting in the middle, of your lid, use swift strokes to form the line. Next, draw your wing using downward strokes and connect it to the liner, then re-trace the line and fill in any gaps.
Step 3 : Liner your lower water line
Line your lower water line, focusing on the outer most corners of your eyes.
Step 5: Add some color
Coat the tip of an angled brush with your bright powder shadow and press the pigment into your lower water line. Create a winger on your lower water line that is parallel to your liquid liner.
Step : Dust your water line
Step 6: Check for symmetry
Once you've finished both eyes, make sure the both wings are even. Clean up any smudges with a pointed Q-tip dipped in makeup remover.
Step 7: Add mascara
Add two coats of your favorite mascara. Currently, I'm obsessed with Maybelline New York 'The Colossal Spider Effect' Volum'Express Mascara ($9.99, at drugstores)
Step : Add a sheer lip
To keep the look light and fresh, complete the look with a sheer pink-nude lip. I'm using Urban Decay x Alice Through the Looking Glass lipstick in 'Alice,' a sheer pink hue with an iridescent finish. ($18, at sephora.com)
