In the lead up to Black History Month, ESSENCE announces the debut of its inspiring new docu-series, Black Girl Magic, sponsored by Walmart. 

Premiering at our signature Black Women Hollywood event (February 25th), Black Girl Magic will be comprised of 6 editorial episodes that profile the lives of six teenage girls from diverse backgrounds and circumstances brought to life vividly and poignantly.

Each documentary is the creative vision of an aspiring African-American female director. The Black Girl Magic program will span throughout 2016 aligning with key ESSENCE tentpoles and content verticals on ESSENCE.com.
