There must be something in the air at The View.

One year after Raven-Symoné denounced her Blackness (refresher: She said that she didn’t consider herself to be African-American; she was simply an American), her co-host Whoopi Goldberg is following suit. 

During yesterday’s episode of The View, the Huffington Post reports that Goldberg said that she identifies solely as an American.

“You know what?” she said in response to a joke made about moving abroad if Donald Trump is elected as president. “Uh-huh! This is my country. My mother, my grandmother, my great-grand folks, we busted a-s to be here. I’m sorry. I’m an American. I’m not an African-American. I’m not a chick American. I’m an American.”
