Mandela actor, Idris Elba suffered an asthma attack while on a flight bound to South Africa at Heathrow Airport and was rushed to a UK hospital.
The 41-year-old actor was headed to a press conference for his movie Mandela: Long Walk of Freedom in Johannesburg, where he stars as South African leader Nelson Mandela alongside Naomie Harris, playing his wife Winnie. The film's producer Anant Singh announced to reporters at the conference, "Idris is in the hospital after an asthma attack on the plane last night."
Singh hopes Elba will be healthy enough to attend a seperate event on Sunday.
Mandela: Long Walk of Freedom is set to debut on January 3.
