On Monday, the First Family announced the arrival of their new dog, Sunny.
The Obamas have a new family member!
On Monday via Instagram, First Lady Michelle Obama introduced the world to Sunny—the family's second Portuguese Water Dog. The female pup is one-year-old and was born in Michigan last June, according to the White House's official site.
"Sunny is the perfect little sister for Bo—full of energy and very affectionate—and the First Family picked her name because it fit her cheerful personality," read a short description.
As the website indicates, dog lovers can expect to see Sunny follow in the footsteps of her older brother. Sunny will more than likely join the First Family on evening walks and accompany them on visits to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the Children's National Medical Center.
