Grace Gibson will join a star-studded cast in a modern-day take on Langston Hughes' Black Nativity.

Lynn Whitfield's daughter, Grace Gibson, will make her silver screen debut in the upcoming film, Black Nativity.

Gibson joins a star-studded cast including lead actor Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett and Jennifer Hudson, in a modern-day adaptation of Langston Hughes' twist on the Bible's nativity story.

The Film tells the story of an inner-city teen  who's faith is tested when he spends Christmas far from home in an unfamiliar environment.

Directed by Kasi Lemmons, the motion picture features an all-black cast and music by artists like Raphael Saadiq.

Black Nativity is currently in production and is set to hit theaters on November 27.
