Jennifer Hudson had the crowd on their feet during a energized musical tribute to the late great Whitney Houston on CBS.
When the biggest stars in the business come together to celebrate the life and legacy of the late Whitney Houston, you know it’s going to be a party. Friday evening, CBS aired their We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston and the musical tributes were outstanding.
Grammy-award winning singer and actress Jennifer Hudson did Ms. Houston proud with a live medley that had the audience on their feet. She sang a mash up of Houston’s hits “I’m Every Woman,” “How Will I Know” and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me).” During the last number, Hudson hit the aisles, dancing with overjoyed fans in the audience and even sharing a moment with Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown.
That evening, other top artists who knew and loved Houston, like Celine Dion, Yolanda Adams, Usher and CeCe Winans, also performed tributes in song.
Houston's greatest hits album, I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston was released last week and features a new single from Houston called "Never Give Up."
