According to a new death certificate, plus-size model Mia Amber Davis’ death was caused by a blood clot in her lungs, TMZ reports.

Doctors initially thought Davis died due to complications of knee surgery, but the certificate shows that a pulmonary embolism (a blockage in the main artery of the lung) was to blame. The document lists the knee operation as only a "contributing factor."

Despite an official cause of death being released, Mia's husband, Michael Yard, still does not have closure. He told TMZ that he found the cause suspicious, since his wife never had issues with blood clots in her lungs in the past.

To think, tennis champ Serena Williams also recently suffered from a pulmonary embolism.

Rest in peace, Mia.
