Kanye West is never a man of few words, and PR reps learned that lesson the hard way after West’s controversial ‘The Today Show’ interview this past week. After only three days of working with the hot-tempered rapper, his media trainer quit after the disastrous morning show interview aired. West was invited to appear on the show and answer questions from Matt Lauer in response to former president George W. Bush’s comments about West and his post-Hurricane Katrina outburst. Just before the interview, Susie Arons of Rubenstein Communications was hired to coach West on how to handle the interview. Despite prepping the rapper in the dressing room before the interview and even advising his camp to cancel it, West still managed to get his blood boiling during a segment when Lauer sprinkled questions about the 2009 MTV Music Awards and the Taylor Swift incident. West asked Lauer “Yo, how am I supposed to talk if you’re going to run the thing in the middle while I’m talking?” The interview aired Thursday morning, and Arons resigned working with West on Friday. Some people just can’t hold their tongue.
