Two Georgia men are accusing prominent Atlanta pastor, Bishop Eddie Long, of sexual coercion and manipulation. According to CNN, Anthony Flagg, 21, and Maurice Murray Robinson, 20, have filed lawsuits against Bishop Long of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church alleging that Bishop Long used his authority to coerce employees into sex. In his suit, Flagg claims that Bishop Long took him on various trips around the country. “Long shared a bedroom and engaged in intimate sexual contact with plaintiff Flagg, including kissing, massaging, masturbating of plaintiff Flagg by defendant Long and oral sexual contact,” Flagg’s lawsuit says. Robinson alleges that Long took him all the way to Auckland, New Zealand in October 2008 for his 18th birthday and engaged in oral sex with him. “Following the New Zealand trip, defendant Long regularly engaged in sexual touching, and other sexual acts with plaintiff Robinson,” Robinson’s suit reads. Long’s spokesman, Art Franklin, told CNN that the allegations are “a case of retaliation and a shakedown for money by men with some serious credibility issues,” and that Bishop Eddie Long, “categorically and adamantly denies these allegations.” He added that Flagg and Robinson have been on ‘the wrong side of the law before and were charged with breaking into the Bishop’s office in June to steal jewelry and other items. “Let your viewers be the judge of their actions,” Franklin told CNN.
