Chicago Sun-Times endorses Jesse Jackson, Jr., as Obama Senate replacement

The Chicago Sun-Times announced in an editorial last week that U.S. Representative Jesse Jackson, Jr., 43, should replace President-elect Obama in the Senate, citing his "drive, passion and experience." The decision is however up to Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, who is said to be considering a number of qualified candidates including Illinois Senate President Emil Jones, 73, who many call Obama's political mentor. Jones says he's interested but is not promoting it.
