Actor uses Times Square jumbotron to pop the question
Victoria Secret's model Selita Ebanks and actor Nick Cannon are engaged to be married, after Cannon projected his proposal on a giant MTV jumbotron in Times Square Monday, according to People.com.
The Drumline actor's rep told People that the couple attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Gala in New York City on Monday night. After the star-studded event, the two rode in a chauffered Rolls Royce to Times Square. Cannon reportedly got down on one knee with a 12-carat diamond ring and proposed to Ebanks while the words, "Selita, will you marry me?" were projected on the jumbotron.
"They got engaged last night," Ebank's agent, Chris Gay of Women Model Management told People Tuesday.
Cannon apparently has the blessing of both of their families as he reportedly flew his mother, her parents and her best friends into town for the big event. The happy couple later held hands and celebrated the special night at the popular New York City hotspot, Butter.
After a night of celebration, the couple took a private plane back to Los Angeles where Cannon is working on his new film.
