After a motion to merge two Black historically Black colleges with majority institutions in Georgia surfaced last week, United Negro College Fund president and CEO Michael Lomax speaks out to the Atlanta Journal Constitution in hopes of keeping the schools’ legacies. As a graduate of Black Morehouse College and majority White schools Emory and Columbia Universities, the former president of HBCU Dillard University says the schools are a vital part of the Black community and instill needed values into a new generation of leaders.
