Every day we feature the beloved “Strawberry Letter” franchise that is so popular on “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” heard nationwide. Send in your letters and Shirley Strawberry will dish out the necessary advice.
Today’s topic: Ripped Apart Young Grandmother Shirley and Steve, I have a 16-year-old son who will be 17 on January 16th. My son has a 4-month-old baby boy by a 16-year-old girl. All the time the girl was pregnant with my grandbaby, I would always talk and communicate with her about when the baby is born that her and my son will share equal time with the baby. To make a long story short, now that the baby is born, I cannot have any communication with my grandbaby. If I want to see him I have to drive an hour away and sit up at the other family’s house just to visit him. Not to mention my son has 4 other siblings by me. They’re always asking me, Mom when are we going to see your grandson? I want to be able to go and get my grandbaby and bring him home with me sometimes. Please tell me what can I do! PS: You know that by keeping a father away from his child brings problems in the future for the child once they get old enough to start understanding what is going on.
