The Warren Times Observer won’t be getting an interview with President Obama anytime soon. The Pennsylvania-based newspaper with an 11,000 circulation ran an ad last week that in so many words called for the assassination of President Obama, according to Reuters.com.
The ad read: “May Obama follow in the footsteps of Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley and Kennedy.” It was pulled as soon as it was discovered. A spokesman for the Secret Service said that investigators have identified the person who placed the ad and are taking this threat seriously. The paper has since apologized for their error. —WLW
